DESCRIPTION:The Future of Mountain Search and Rescue\nNew strategies for operating and management of Mountain Search and Rescue Operations\nOctober 12th to 15th 2022: Full details here.\n\nThe International Commission for Alpine Rescue ICAR\, is a not for profit NGO set up with the prime purpose of ensuring best practice in mountain rescue techniques. \nThere are 5 commissions tasked with researching and developing skills in specific areas these are: \n\nTerrestrial rescue\nAir rescue\nAvalanche rescue\nAlpine emergency medicine\nDog handlers\n\nInformation is shared amongst mountain rescue services around the world via its platform\, research papers\, ICAR member lobbying and finally via a yearly congress. \nThis year\, 2022\, the Swiss Alpine rescue service SAS has been asked to host the event in Montreux.
