Special rates on Expedition Indemnity Insurance are available to all Gold BMMS members and provide discounted medical indemnity for any expedition, anywhere in the world (excluding USA) and can be for any duration you require.
There are no lengthy conversations with indemnity insurers where you have to try and explain the complexities of a Expedition and why you are qualified to take it, you have proven your experience is enough by becoming a Gold BMMS member.
The premiums are transparent and competitive and based on the time you are away. (See below for important info on when you are required to contact the insurer).

For now it will be a trip-by-trip basis as they are not offering annual policies. (This may change)
For gold members, this discounted cover will automatically be granted once the premiums are paid for any trip anywhere (except the US) with the completion of a very short declaration form. This will go straight to the insurers who will check they validity as a gold member on the Diploma website and will grant them the insurance automatically.
Silver members can get also get discounted indemnity at a slightly higher premium ( based by the insurers evaluation of on risk/experience/ qualifications) but we have to vet EVERY applicant individually. This is the choice of the BMMS to ensure applicants have enough experience and understanding of the specifics of the trip they have signed up to.
