Jeremy is a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Critical Care at Chesterfield Royal Hospital (CRH).
As a trustee of the British Mountain Medicine Society (BMMS) he has organised a series of successful face-to-face meetings and conferences as well as more recently, the popular BMMS UCLan Mountain Medicine Winter Webinar Series.
In 2018 he launched the Mountain Medicine Fellowship at CRH. This provides clinical opportunities for junior doctors wishing to combine their interests in mountain medicine and hospital practise.
Jeremy has been a faculty member of the Diploma in Mountain Medicine (DiMM) since 2008. When the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) took over the running of the DiMM in 2020, he took up an appointment as Senior Clinical Lecturer in mountain medicine. Alongside his work on the DiMM he now oversees the MSc in mountain medicine programme.
For nearly three decades he has been a climber, guide, researcher and doctor on numerous adventures. From lightweight solo trips in the UK to large scale expeditions to 8000m peaks he has thoroughly enjoyed them all!
